Set of keys
The set of keys given upon purchase of the new car is packed into a plastic cover, with the number code which is put down on it. If you receive keys without such packing, ask the representative of dealer office where the car is acquired to tell you a number code of keys.
Two keys - main and office are included in the package. The main key approaches all locks on the car whereas office is intended only for unlocking/locking of a driver's door and control of the ignition lock. The main key has to be stored constantly at the owner of the vehicle whereas office can be transferred to valets of parkings or car service specialists who cannot get with its help even into a ware box of the dashboard.
Introduction of a key to the lock of ignition and its extraction back
The key is equipped with a bilateral small beard and can be inserted into the lock in any way. Enter a key against the stop into the well of the cylinder of the lock of ignition and turn it in demanded from designated on an accompanying illustration situation. Introduction of a key to the lock and its extraction are back possible only in position of the LOCK cylinder. Blocking of a steering column
The car is equipped with the lock of a steering column of passive type. The lock prevents a possibility of driving at the key taken from the ignition lock. If the steering wheel turns no more than half way in each of the directions, and the key is taken from the ignition lock, therefore the steering column is blocked.
To make blocking of a wheel, turn it the top party down, kill the engine and take a key from the ignition lock. Now slightly pull a steering wheel, rotating it in both directions for input of the lock in gearing.
Shutdown of the lock is made by small turn of a key in the ignition lock in any of the parties.
Locks of doors
To unlock or lock a door, enter a key into the well of the cylinder of its lock.

After a zakhlopyvaniye unlocking from within back doors becomes possible only after a conclusion of their rychazhkovy switches from position of LOCK. Forward doors can be open by means of internal handles.
Back doors of the car are in addition equipped with the special locks allowing to prevent a possibility of their unlocking from within salon. These locks without fail have to be used in transit children. For activation of the lock lower the rychazhok located over a lock latch at a back end face of a door down. Switching off of the lock is made by switching a rychazhka in the top situation.

Switches of control of activators of door locks
The control of activators of locks of all doors (including a back door) is made by means of the switches of keyboard type located on armrests driver's and forward passenger doors. For locking of locks press the right half of a key of the lock, for unlocking - on left.
Blocking of doors by means of switches or the remote control (DU) is not represented possible in the following cases:
After blocking inclusion opening of back doors from within salon becomes possible only after an otpuskaniye of rychazhok of locks. Forward doors can be opened by means of internal handles.
Remote control of door activators of the uniform lock
By means of the DU panel of a door of the car can open at distance without application of a key.
The intake of the uniform lock is located in assembly of a lamp of illumination of salon, or in the central part of the top console. Having approached the car on sufficient distance (about 3 m), direct the DU panel to the receiver and press, depending on an objective the LOCK button (Locking) or UNLOCK (Unlocking) on its front panel.

If at the time of unlocking of doors a key or on a signal from the DU panel the horn publishes triple buzz, it means that in your absence the system of the anticreeping alarm system worked. Check whether there are no signs of penetration into the car of strangers.
The system of the anticreeping alarm system is conceived as a vehicle security measure. Nevertheless there are situations in which there is its failure. If, remaining in the car, you incidentally makes locking of doors the keyboard switch or from the DU panel, the anticreeping alarm system will work in attempt of opening of a door for the handle from within. Involuntary shutdown of system happens when unlocking by a back door key. After the door is closed repeated initiation of the alarm system will not occur.
Activation of the anticreeping alarm system happens at the time of connection of the battery after completion of service or car repairs. At the same time all external lighting fixtures turn on in the blinking mode, and ignition is blocked. Shutdown of system is made by turn of a key in the lock of any of doors, or at operation of activators of the uniform lock from the DU panel.
Security systems and restrictions of movements of the driver and passengers
Safety of the persons which are in the car is one of the most important and responsible tasks of designers and developers. Of the knots designed to carry out this task seat belts of the driver, forward and back passengers, and also a safety cushion of the driver are main. Standard seat belts can be also used for fixing of special devices for transportation of babies and children of younger teenage age.

Remember that the wiped or torn belt at the time of collision can tear, without having executed thereby the function. Pilot studies prove that use of seat belts allows to reduce repeatedly risk of death of the driver and passengers of the vehicle during collision. The most serious injuries are usually suffered as a result of ejection of the person from interior of the car. Seat belts also allow to avoid it, and therefore, each participant of the movement, the driver or the passenger, has to be reliably and is properly fastened.
Belts of universal type

For release from a seat belt press the PRESS button of the buckle clamp lock. The belt will automatically be winded on a drum of the returnable device. In case of need shift a buckle down a tape of a belt, having given it the chance to be winded completely.

Principle of functioning
Sensors are located in a forward part of the car, and also in its salon and provide operation of the module of activation of a pillow when acceleration of frontal blow reaches a certain value. Sensors should not react on sliding, side and back blows, and also to a car turning. Inside sensors are equipped with the switches connected to the block of self-diagnostics of system and the module of activation of a pillow.
The block checks serviceability of functioning of electronic components of system every time when turning the ignition key in situation START or RUN/ON (see an illustration). All from listed in the item are among such components. "The main komponenty systems of a safety cushion...", except for a steering wheel, a column and knee protection.
At initial inclusion of ignition the block provides inclusion of a control lamp of a safety cushion on an instrument guard of the car for the period from 6 to 8 seconds. Then the lamp has to go out. If when performing diagnostics in system any violations are revealed, the lamp will continue to burn continuously, or will pass into the blinking mode.
Module of an activation/safety cushion
The module is located in the central part of a steering wheel. When the acceleration arising at head-on collision reaches sufficient value, sensors of blow give a signal on operations of the module. At the same time the gas generator of the module provides the emission of a large amount of nontoxical nitrogen providing instant inflation of the pillow made of strong material. The decorative cover in the central part of a steering wheel leans back and the pillow is developed, filling space between a wheel and the driver's body. All process lasts about 50 milliseconds that corresponds to about a half of time spent by the person for blinking for centuries. Almost at once nitrogen from a pillow is produced through the air vents directed towards the dashboard and therefore, operation of a pillow is not capable to prevent the driver in driving or to limit the sector of its review.
Consequences of operation of a safety cushion
It is not necessary to fix to the car knives for sweeping of snow, the winch also other non-standard equipment which is not provided by a front design. Installation of such equipment it is capable to break serviceability of functioning of sensors of blow of system of a safety cushion!
Inflation of a pillow is made almost instantly on a signal of the sensors of blow reacting to frontal acceleration of a certain force. Almost immediately the pillow is blown off.

For return of a back seat to the initial working condition lift its backs and latch them in vertical position. Each of side windows is equipped with the individual control panel with the switch of keyboard type. For lowering of glass it is necessary to press a key down, for rise - up. The driver's door is equipped with the universal control panel allowing to operate with window regulators of all door windows.
Internal rear-view mirror
Internal rear-view mirror with manual switching in day and night provisions
The mirror has to hold such position to provide the review precisely through the center of back glass of the car. External rear-view mirrors

External mirrors with heating (an additional complete set)
Food on heating elements of mirrors moves at the same time with inclusion of heating of back glass.
The combined switch of control of the electric drive of correction of the provision of external rear-view mirrors is located at the left below on the car dashboard. For updating of the provision of the left mirror establish the central rychazhok of the switch in situation L, right - in situation R. Adjustment of an inclination of mirrors is carried out by means of four command keys.
Cowl lock otpuskaniye lever
For opening of a cowl pull on yourself the lever A located at the left under the dashboard. Then go out of the car, push a hand under slightly risen cowl and pull on yourself the safety handle of a latch of V. Podnimite and prop up a cowl.
When lifting a cowl there is an automatic turning on of the lighting lamp of a motive compartment.
To cock the parking brake, strongly pull the handle of the lever of its drive located in the central console of the car between front seats up. If the parking brake is cocked at the included ignition, on an instrument guard the control lamp has to light up.
Before leaving the car parked on the inclined section of the road make sure of reliability of raising of the parking brake and do not forget to transfer AT to situation P / to include RKPP on the first transfer. Make sure that the transfer case is not in neutral situation, otherwise the car is not insured from rolling under a bias regardless of the provision of transmission.
Do not forget to cock without fail the parking brake before leaving the car.
For an otpuskaniye of the parking brake slightly pull the lever up, then press the button located in a face part of its handle and completely lower the lever down. Make sure that the control lamp on an instrument guard went out - the movement with the cocked parking brake can lead to failure of brake mechanisms.
Recommendations about a running in of the new car
All settings of the engine, necessary for normal operation of the car, are made industrially by specialists of the Chrysler company. Filling of the car with fuel
For opening of the hatch of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank pull the lever located on a car floor between a driver's seat and a threshold of the right door up. On the lever there is an inscription FUEL DOOR and the image of the fuel pump is applied.
On a case of failure of the mechanism of the remote drive of unlocking of the hatch of a jellied mouth, the special emergency cable is provided in the back side panel of a body behind a spare wheel - open a cover and, having pulled a cable, open the hatch of a jellied mouth.
Kill the engine and uncover with jellied mouths fuel the tank for what turn it counterclockwise. Fix a cover in special, provided on back the parties of a door of the hatch, a clamp. For installation of a cover into place fill it in a mouth of a tank and tighten clockwise at least on three clicks.
Requirements imposed to a fuel grade
The design of feed and control systems the engine provides good profitability of fuel consumption in case of filling of the car with high-quality unleaded fuel.
Use for gas station of the car only gasoline with octane number not lower than 87, determined by a method of calculation of arithmetic-mean value between the sizes determined research and motor in the ways: N = (R + M)/2, or, in the Russian designations: N = (AI + A)/2.
Periodic emergence of an easy detonation in the engine during the work it on low turns should not cause special concern. In case of a strong detonation on high turns it is necessary to address to dealer office of the Chrysler company.
Except that gasoline has to be unleaded and have octane number not below the stipulated value, it is recommended to use the fuel containing such additives as inhibitor of corrosion and means for increase in stability of turns of the engine. Use of such additives allows to increase efficiency of return of the engine and cuts its consumption. Usually unleaded fuel of the class Premium already contains such additives.
Use of low-grade fuel can lead to emergence of such problems as the complicated start of the engine, its spontaneous stops and violation of stability of turns. In case of any of the listed symptoms, try to replace fuel brand before there are more serious problems.
Some grades of fuel represent a combination of the unleaded gasoline mixed with such oxygen-containing additives as alcohol and methyl - tetrabutyl (MTVE) and ethyl - tetrabutyl (ETVE) air. At the same time the type and quantity of the oxidizer added to fuel is important. For gas station of the cars considered in this manual the following combinations are admissible:
Added to unleaded gasoline of methyl alcohol can vary from 3% and above.
Control systems of the engine
In order to avoid violation of serviceability of functioning of a power supply system try to follow the following rules:
The cars equipped with the catalytic converter are subject to filling only with unleaded fuel. High content of lead in ethylated fuel is capable to lead to noticeable decrease in efficiency of the converter and its bystry exit out of operation. Under usual service conditions of the car the catalytic converter does not need regular service. Nevertheless it is necessary to pay attention to observance of the correct settings of the engine.
Do not park the car over easily flammable objects, on the sites overgrown with a dry grass or the filled-up fallen leaves.
At long operation of not adjusted engine there can be a characteristic pungent smell which is usually accompanying rubber curing process. This smell is a sign of a serious overheat of the catalytic converter. The car has to be immediately stopped, the engine is killed and cooled. Then without any delay it is necessary to make adjustment of the engine.
